I haven’t done a “Still Bumpin‘” post in a long time so in honor of how I’m feeling today, Beanie Sigel‘s, “Feel It In The Air” seemed appropriate. I love everything about this song and video. For whatever reason, it brings back great memories that we all need to be reminded of sometimes.
“I take inspiration out of the most heinous of situations, creating medication out my own tribulations. Dear Africa, you helped me write this, by showing me to give; it’s priceless.”
I simply can’t enough of this song. No matter where I am when I hear it, it instantly puts me in a good mood. It reminds me of summer, the beach, and having a good time. Who doesn’t want to be reminded of that?. So, I’m still bumpin’ this video and song and probably always will be. The video itself is a movie, I’m almost sad that I wasn’t apart of it :p. Jamaicans always seem to know how to have a great time even on their worst days and you can’t help but join in on the fun
In honor of Tupac‘s birthday, I thought I would do a “Still Bumpin” post of one of my all time favorite songs from Tupac. After finding the video, I had to post another video of him performing it acapella at a school and shutting down any stereotypes people had of him about, “not respecting woman.” Lastly, I remembered coming home from school one day, turning to BET and seeing the video for, “Baby Don’t Cry” and bawling my eyes out seeing the pain in the young girl’s eyes as she ran (I was young, sue me). So, I had to post that video too. I firmly believe if Tupac was still alive, the music industry would be a different place and the standard for “getting on” would be much higher. R.I.P.
Keep Ya Head Up video
“Trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents, it’s hard to stay legit and still pay the rent.”
I’m still in love with this video for, “Babyfather” from Sade. I adore her dearly. I was watching this for the umpteenth time and my sister says, “Is that a recent video? She looks exactly the same.”
I couldn’t agree more, Sade is the Halle Berry of music… scratch that, even better than Halle :p
