Got Beef? Lil’ Kim – “Warning” (Nicki Minaj diss)

Posted on February 13, 2011 by

Lil’ Kim isn’t finished with Nicki Minaj. Her first diss track didn’t go over well and with tomorrow being the release date for her “Black Friday” mixtape, she drops a second song titled, “Warning.” This time she rapped over Nicki Minaj‘s “Did It On ‘Em.”

What is it going to take for Lil’ Kim to just… give it a rest?

Got Beef: Foxy Brown – “Massacre”

Posted on January 14, 2011 by

A snippet of Foxy Brown‘s long overdue diss record for Lil’ Kim was leaked and posted all over the internet a few days ago. I listened to it and decided not to post it until after the full record was released. Foxy kept promising the release of the song and even promised it on the day the snippet was released. Although late, “Massacre” was officially released today by DJ Kay Slay. In my humble opinion, Foxy might as well have kept this record under wraps, I’m very disappointed.

This seems like the only copy out right now, the quality is terrible and the dead air at 1:35-1:42 had me thinking the song ended. Don’t be alarmed though, keep listening.

Nicki Minaj makes Lil’ Kim mad… again

Posted on November 6, 2010 by

I’ll kill that b*tch with my own sh*t” – Lil’ Kim

I’m sure it was expected, but Nicki Minaj has upset Lil’ Kim, yet again. Where Nicki Minaj has taken the subtle route, Lil’ Kim hasn’t mastered that quite yet. Nicki‘s single “Roman’s Revenge” addressed everyone that has ever said something negative about her, not naming names, of course. Regardless of whether she heard her name, Lil’ Kim has taken it upon herself to fire back. It seems Nicki just rubs Kim the wrong way, or maybe it’s the fact that Nicki‘s album release is near and Kim‘s is nonexistent. Whatever it is, Lil’ Kim is letting the world know that Nicki Minaj is no competition for her.

I want to believe Lil’ Kim, I truly do. What would convince me, however, is a new single from her, better yet, a new album. At least something to prove she still has it. Until then, it’s simply hot air.

Watch and listen to her rant below.

Kid Cudi talks Wale beef in Complex Magazine

Posted on October 5, 2010 by

Kid Cudi is this month’s cover story in Complex Magazine, and now that its hit the stores, Complex has released some outtakes which didn’t make the article. The outtakes consists of a whole lot of drama. Cudi talks about his beef with Wale, getting kicked off the Lady Gaga tour and more.

Excerpts:

Complex: Where did the whole attitude shift towards Wale stem from?

Kid Cudi: I really don’t understand what’s up with this guy, but he’s just somebody I don’t click with anymore. I started making changes in my life and started to realize positive energy around me, and he never really had a good energy. I never felt like he wanted to see me prosper, it was just one of those niggas that was envious rather than happy for a nigga. I could be reading it wrong, but I’m not making beef and rearranging my life. It’s pretty obvious he feels some type of way about it. I’m not into peer mediation and working things out, I’m just trying to provide for my daughter and my family and making music for my fans. I vibe with certain people and some people I don’t.

Mayweather throws jabs at rappers

Posted on June 17, 2010 by

… verbally, of course :)

50 cent and mayweather talk fake rappers mtv new

Mayweather and my fav resident sh*t starter 50 Cent, sat down with MTV News to talk about their music/new projects. It wouldn’t be a 50 Cent interview if it didn’t include other people’s music as well (or at least how much their music sucks, isn’t that good).

While 50 Cent had this to say about his new album

“It’ll just make room for you to impact when [the hardcore] comes back. No one told the world to enjoy that [softer] music temporarily. I think a big portion of why people didn’t want to hear the aggressive content is because the people conveying them were lying.”

Mayweather chimed in with his two cents pennies

“You got rappers in today’s time, they get a small advance from their record label, get a bunch of tattoos, a few piercings on their face, go to jail for 10 or 20 days, [then] they killers. Next time out, they rock stars. I think rap is crazy, but it’s still very creative.”

I mean, Mayweather is allowed to feel this way though, he’s such a great rapper and all  :p

50 Cent to P. Diddy: “Your music sucks right now!”

Posted on June 8, 2010 by

50 cent and p diddy on lil' kim and nicki minaj

I said I wouldn’t blog about this Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj beef any longer, but in all fairness, I said I wouldn’t mention anything THEY did (unless Lil’ Kim airs out some dirty laundry), not what anyone else had to say about it :p. Adding to all the talk of the town, 50 Cent (my favourite sh*t starter) chimed in on what he feels about the situation.

50 Cent tells Lady La of Power 98.3

On what he thinks is bothering Lil’ Kim
“It’s probably a little more irritating to see Puffy stand next to Nicki Minaj and for him to say that [Rick] Ross reminds him of Biggie.”

On why he feels P. Diddy is involved with Nicki Minaj
“That’s desperation on his part, ’cause his music sucks right now. It’s bad so he’s gotta kinda stay as close as he can to something else that has some momentum for it to be aight. He’s making himself cool to the people that like [Ross and Minaj].”

On Nicki swagger-jacking Kim swagger-jacking
“It’s obvious … she was inspired by some of Kim’s [style]. But that’s not bad. There’s not a whole lot of female artists that you can make reference to, so you’ll see those little influences even stronger. I think she’s hot — I think she’s got a good little thing going right now, as far as Nicki Minaj is concerned.”

When this whole beef came to my attention, I completely forgot about the background with Lil’ Kim and P. Diddy and that P. Diddy is now working so close with Nicki Minaj (her manager). Last night (after I posted the video of Kim going in on Diddy) was the first time I really thought about it and said, yea, “she’s mad that P.Diddy is in the mix” I’m now understanding that it must really suck to see him putting so much energy into someone who Kim thinks is just a duplicate of herself when her and Diddy have obvious unresolved issues. It’s not like P. Diddy doesn’t have a history of dropping what’s not hot and diving into what is (I guess he would be stupid not to… but where’s the loyalty?) Hmm, 50 Cent hit the nail on the head with this one. There are far deeper reasons behind all of this and we may never know. Until then, it makes for juicy blogging, I guess. Peep the vid of below.
