In the spirit of Father’s Day, I decided I would post one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite singers. I made a video of images (of myself) over two years ago with this song as the soundtrack and dedicated it to my father. Although he passed away almost eleven years ago, I made the video because I knew he would have loved to see what his baby girl grew up to be. I used to hate this day because it reminded me my daddy was gone, but I am old enough to spend this day appreciating my father and remembering what an amazing father he was. Happy Father’s Day daddy and the rest of the good father’s out there.
I’ve also posted a poem (an ode to my father) I wrote awhile ago, at the bottom of the video.
