I’ve been watching little Willow‘s own personal style for awhile and never thought much of it. I decided to finally blog about it because I read an article criticizing her (and her parents) for her style of clothing and hair.
Here’s my thing, celebrity children are in an entire different boat than “regular” children. They are from (and mostly born into) a different world than an everyday child, so we cannot expect the same things from them (of course, the regular things, mind your manners, etc.). Will Smith and Jada are definitely up there, meaning they are among the most elite celebrities. Willow is growing up in a world where she can have whatever she wants, sky’s the limit. The style she chooses to have (and I do believe she chose it) is easily accessible. She wants a shaved head? It can be done, she wants a Rihanna inspired outfit (for the same price), she can have it. Why criticize her for that? What’s so different about a little girl dressing herself in mismatched outfits and two different shoes and her parents allowing it because it’s, “cute” and she, “dressed herself?” It’s called personality, and any child who develops one of their own is on the right path. I think people are over reacting about Willow‘s personal style. She looks adorable and she should be the envy of all her friends. I think the people complaining are a bit jealous because she outdoes them on the red carpet :p.
Instead of pointing out Will and Jada‘s flaws (whatever they might be), congratulate them for raising respectable children and not being in the headlines for drugs, divorce and all that other hollywood mess. Mind you, Will‘s oldest son (Willard Smith) is of age to get a DUI (not jinxing, promise) and we haven’t heard a thing about him. I love this couple and the way they handle their lives in Hollywood, because it’s not easy.

@VonneB: Exactly VonneB, all they want to talk about is the way she dresses and her age, they aren’t talking about how respectful and adorable the Smith children are. It’s so ridiculous. I wrote this article long before Willow released her new single and even now I still feel the same. All of their kids are doing things I’m sure a lot of people wish they were doing. Just let them be.
i like how u pointed out how people looking at how they raised great children and they should stop pointing out flaws. It so true because haters dont see the good in people they just look at the flaws but whatever dosent kill them shall ,ake them stronger. Fall back haters!!!
